At the risk of exposing my tinfoil “hat” let me take a guess at the real answer to the question ... Scott Morrison is a deeply-compromised human being, a simulacrum, a sociopath, who inadvertently rose to sufficient prominence within the coalition, and then perhaps through circumstances not of his own making, rose to the position of PM despite his own lack of talent and ethics. His twin brother Alan is high up in AHPRA and is a deeply-connected pharma public health cabal member, and likely was the central figure behind ScoMo’s decision.
Morrison overruled the AHPPC advice against compulsory vaccination for residential aged care workers. He trashed voluntary informed consent.
When this legal and ethical principle was broken for one group, that was it, then everyone was at risk of mandates.
Importantly, the medical ‘profession’ shouldn’t have gone along with this, they should have refused to collaborate with people being coerced and mandated to have this medical intervention. Subsequently the AHPPC imposed vaccination mandates on workers in the medical area, disability support and aged care in the community, and this precipitated mandates across the community.
It’s mind-boggling that medical folk went along with the mandates.
When they tried this in the UK, there was pushback, and the mandates fell over.
But not in Australia…here the medical ‘profession’ complied… We have to ask why?

You are right there was a push back in the UK, but it was not straightforward - we were a small noisy and tiny minority initially, and I'm sad to say that the vast majority in public health were for it, and some - notwithstanding the catastrophic harms done over the last 3 years - continue to roll up peoples' sleeves today.
And as for the ring leaders? Michie and Farrar have ended up at the WHO, Vallance at Moderna, etc. I hope I live long enough to see justice done.
The sad reality is that literally NONE of the decisions taken throughout 2020 and 2021 and into 2022 made a lick of sense to anyone paying attention (sadly too few of us). As someone who has done his own research into this, i know better than most the template that was followed by the PM, Greg Hunt, the national cabinet, the TGA, ATAGI, state health ministers etc to go out of their way to make decisions expressly contrary to all pre-pandemic norms; anti-science, anti-human decisions following a template and a script prepared by nefarious actors. I have asked myself how and why no one broke ranks (such as in the example you stress) when it became abundantly clear that nothing within the official account was EVER even remotely ethical, true or scientific, and unfortunately the answer to this leads one down some pretty dark rabbit holes, not the least of which is the fact that our institutions are completely captured, not just by corporations and collectivist ideology, but by the Dunning-Kruger effect, namely our institutions are staffed with people elevated WAY above their own individual competencies and intelligence but who possess extensive academic and professional qualifications ... these people are almost entirely unimaginative non-critical thinkers, terrified of rocking the boat, status-seekers and a large percentage are sociopaths, meaning they are PERFECT for following orders blindly, as they truly believe in the authority of the entities that afford THEM their power and influence. Conformity to keep one’s status in a hierarchy like that is a helluva motivator.

Now you would think he would use the opportunity to tell us his story and talk personally to us. But instead he raced in, delivered a budget speech full of , ‘Mum and dad ‘ investor content - allowed no questions - then raced off! So when he became PM I was not very excited. And unsurprised when he didn’t answer my typed our snail mail letter.
Re the UK Covid19 inquiry being live streamed on YouTube at the moment, there is also evidence of PM Boris changing his mind at a particular moment in this fiasco. We still havent really determined how, why or more importantly - WHO changed these people’s minds.

Yup. I followed that story so closely that a poor skinny rescue pup we fostered at that time, we named Boris. He was clumsy & not yet housetrained or castrated. It was an ‘insiders’ joke at the time.
