How can the World Health Organization support mandatory vaccination?
This violates voluntary informed consent.
It seems the World Health Organization does not comprehend that practitioners/vaccinators administering vaccine products have an obligation to obtain voluntary informed consent for these medical interventions. Vaccination cannot be mandated as - by definition - this violates voluntary informed consent.
This is a disastrous misunderstanding for an organisation which aims to control global health policy, with the draft WHO pandemic accord sparking “rumours of vaccine mandates” in ‘future pandemics’.
But that horse has already well and truly bolted, with the ‘PHEIC’ aka ‘fake’ manufactured COVID-19 crisis already resulting in COVID-19 vaccine mandates being imposed around the world, see Countries making COVID-19 vaccines mandatory, Reuters, 31 December 2021.
It’s already happened… In fact, vaccine mandates have been imposed for years in various countries - on children, medical industry workers, the military, and others. Voluntary informed consent for vaccination went AWOL years ago, the World Health Organization is clueless on this subject.
For example, in November 2023 I undertook a search for ‘informed consent vaccination’ on the World Health Organization website, the response to which was “No results for informed consent vaccination”, as can be seen in the screenshot below:
Obtaining voluntary informed consent for medical interventions, including vaccination, is a bedrock principle of the medical profession, so it was incredible that a search on the WHO website on this topic turned up…‘no results’…
Recently I tried another search for ‘informed consent vaccination’ on the WHO website, and it seems they’ve been prompted on this matter, because now there are search results listing links to various documents.
Consider for example: COVID-19 and mandatory vaccination: Ethical considerations, a WHO policy brief dated 30 May 2022.
This WHO policy brief, assembled by a multitude of ‘experts’, makes arguments justifying mandatory vaccination, ultimately concluding:
Just as it is the case for other public health policies, decisions about mandatory vaccination should be supported by the best available evidence and should be made by legitimate decision-makers in a manner that is transparent, just, fair and non-discriminatory and involves the input of affected parties.
The WHO policy brief accepts the notion of ‘mandatory vaccination’, but how can ‘mandatory vaccination’ even exist, as it violates voluntary informed consent?
The authors of the WHO policy brief fail to consider the legal and ethical responsibility of medical practitioners/vaccinators to obtain voluntary informed consent for vaccination, e.g. as outlined in The Australian Immunisation Handbook under Valid consent:
For consent to be legally valid, the following elements must be present...It must be given voluntarily in the absence of undue pressure, coercion or manipulation...It can only be given after the potential risks and benefits of the relevant vaccine, the risks of not having it, and any alternative options have been explained to the person.
(My emphasis.)
Medical practitioners/vaccinators have an obligation to obtain voluntary informed consent for vaccination, so they must not collaborate with mandated vaccination, as they should understand a vaccination mandate precludes a voluntary informed decision.
This is a very serious matter to consider in countries such as Australia, where millions of people were subjected to COVID-19 vaccination mandates, at risk of losing their livelihoods and participation in civil society if they refused to comply.
In my previous article, I provided a timeline illustrating how mandatory vaccination was initiated in Australia, with then prime minister Scott Morrison and the premiers and chief ministers in National Cabinet overruling Chief Medical Officer Paul Kelly’s and the AHPPC’s original recommendation against compulsory COVID-19 vaccination for aged care workers, see The destruction of voluntary informed consent via mandatory COVID-19 vaccination - “A political decision, not a health decision”.
Mandatory vaccination should not have been imposed at the behest of politicians. The medical profession, led by CMO Paul Kelly and the AHPPC, should not have collaborated with these mandated medical interventions, which were imposed around the country.
The Australian Government and the regulator of medical practitioners, AHPRA, know that voluntary informed consent is a requirement for vaccination, so how could mandatory vaccination ever be implemented?
See for example:
Response to me from the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care, dated 17 November 2022:
Informed consent should be obtained for every COVID-19 vaccination, as per usual consent procedures for other vaccinations.
Response to me from AHPRA, dated 20 September 2021:
Practitioners have an obligation to obtain informed consent for treatment, including vaccination. Informed consent is a person's voluntary decision about health care that is made with knowledge and understanding of the benefits and risks involved.
(My emphasis.)
An Australian Government Q&A Fact Sheet titled Handling consent refusal by people presenting for vaccination, published on 15 December 2021, informs health professionals:
What is informed consent and why is it important?
Informed consent is an individual’s voluntary decision to agree to a healthcare treatment, procedure or intervention, such as a COVID-19 vaccination, in its entirety, after the individual has been provided understandable, sufficient, appropriate and reliable information about the intervention, including the potential risks and benefits…
A patient must provide informed consent prior to vaccination.
This COVID Q&A Fact Sheet also warns vaccination providers:
If a patient has not provided informed consent, you should not vaccinate them, even if they are mandated to receive a COVID-19 vaccination to perform particular roles or enter certain settings.
There is a legal and ethical obligation for medical practitioners to ensure that people have given their voluntary informed consent for vaccination, and people must not be pressured, coerced, manipulated or mandated into this medical intervention.
According to the Australian Law Reform Commission:
At common law, all competent adults can consent to and refuse medical treatment. If consent is not established, there may be legal consequences for health professionals.
A practitioner/vaccinator cannot obtain valid voluntary informed consent from someone who is presenting before them under a vaccination mandate - practitioners/vaccinators should have refused to collaborate with these mandated medical interventions.
Again, how can ‘mandatory vaccination’ even exist, as it violates voluntary informed consent? Why haven’t the World Health Organization and the medical colleges and associations called this out?
Likely billions of people around the world have been vaccinated under pressure, coercion, manipulation and mandates - how did this happen?
And what happens when the penny drops, and people realise no-one has given ‘valid consent’?
On the money again Elizabeth.
Thank you for this Elizabeth.
It should make us all angry at at what they did and keep doing to us.
